Rick Moffatt is Walking In the Footsteps of the Greats

Rick started playing the guitar when he was a young teenager. The moment he heard Yngwie Malmsteen that’s when the fire started for him to pick up the guitar. Through Yngwie, Rick soon after discovered the great one and only Jimi Hendix and his life would never be the same. Through them both his love for classical music began with the likes of Bach, Mozart and more. Other forms of music influenced him too like Michael Jackson and his family, the Blues, Country and World Music. He also fell in love with other artists like Queenscryhe, Richie Blackmore, Rainbow, Deep Purple and Ronnie J Dio.

After he started his journey on the guitar he started playing in a group with a high school friend always writing his own songs. He played shows around the Chicagoland area growing as a musician and artist reaching for new levels of creativity. His passion for music continues to grow.
